I covered a lot in my previous post on Heroes of the Shire and I still didn't cover everything that made up that shoot!
Pack Photography That Looks Stunning
In previous posts I've talked about pack photography using infinity white backgrounds that make the game components pop. But pack photography can come in so many different shapes and sizes.
With Heroes of the Shire I wanted the pack photography to fit the same theme as the gameplay shoots, so they could be presented side by side and have a consistent look across all of the images.
It helps that the box art is lovely, but box art alone doesn't tell the whole story - especially for a game as big as Heroes of the Shire.
The customer would certainly want to know how big this game is, so for the open box shots we placed the dice next to the box to provide size context to the shot and help the player understand just what they are buying.
By looking at the images without the dice, you can really see the additional information this portrays with little additional content.
