Villagers is one of my favourite games, and with the Changing Seasons expansion it really invokes that early Settlers vibe on the Amiga (that intro animation of the knight wandering into a village just stuck with me for life!).
I wanted to use Villagers to show how attractive simple white infinity pack photography can be and how it can help your players really understand what they're getting in the box.
In these two shots alone the player can quickly get a feel for what this game is - by highlighting the types of characters the player can draft, the way in which raw materials match the roles of the characters and the hint of other characters in the Jester and Countess really start to pull the player in.
By pulling in close, still simply highlighting the components of the game the player can start to get an idea of the quality of the components, how they're built while easily highlighting the game name and the publisher, which is a key component when thinking about brand awareness.

Pack photography might not be the most glamorous part of boardgame photography, but it is a vital part of the process and a key element of any online marketing for your game.
By purely focusing on the game, the components and even the box you show your players exactly what to expect - which has been shown to be a significant part of a players decision to purchase your game.
